Adolf Christian Bayersdorfer (07-06-1842 - 21-02-1901) German composer

In 1902 J. Kohtz and C. Kockelkorn wrote "Zur Kenntniss des Schachproblems : Kritiken und ausgewählte Aufgaben" about Bayersdorfer's chess problems. Adolf Bayersdorfer also edited the chess section of the "Münchner Neuesten Nachrichten" from 1888 until his death.

Almiror Zarur is one of the founders of the UBP (Union of Brazilian Problemists) and one of the editors of the "Boletim da UBP". He is the author of the book "Xadrez Imaginário" (2009). He composes direct mates and helpmates - one example of each is shown below.

Laurent Joudon (07-06-1961) French composer

Laurent Joudon is also International Judge for direct mates in 3 and more moves. He composed in all genres.
In 1989 he published (as a special issue of "Diagrammes") the booklet "Les multicoups de Hans-Peter Rehm".

Here is a good fairy problem of his, with the fairy piece Edgehog. The Edgehog was invented by John Driver in 1966. The edge of the board being the 28 squares a1-h1-h8-a8-a2, in short the Edgehog is a Queen that is allowed to move only to or from an edge square of the board (not both).

Peter Rösler (07-06-1961) German composer

Peter Rösler composes mostly proof games and fairy problems, with a preference for promotions. For instance he was the author of the proof game with the following stipulation: which game ends with 6.g7xf8=S# ? The answer is here.
